During the briefing on Friday on the results of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine work during the week, The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that the compromise between the factions had not been reached. M. Tomenko announced that BYT faction during its meetings had been discussing the serious social-economic projects that country needed. "If Party of Regions continue blocking of the supreme legislative body we will recommend that the Government react through temporary decisions in order not to let chaos in the country", - he emphasized.
M. Tomenko stressed that there is a number of bills in the Parliament that need immediate discussion among them the bills on local self-government. He reminded that during this week the Law, according to which from the 1st of January 2010 the Sell of the Meat and Milk Goods of Self Production is prohibited, was discussed. The Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine informed that on the 6th of June 2005 the new revision of the Law of Ukraine "On Safety and Quality of the Food Products". For the that time in the Verkhovna Rada were registered two Bills, one suggested by the Prime-Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Tymoshenko and one by the People´s Deputies V. Bartkiv (UNP), M. Hladkiy (YTB later PR) and Melnychuk (Socialist Party).The Parliament had adopted the second one. Among the Deputies voted for the Bill were approximately 31 representatives of Party of Regions Faction. That means that Law, according to which from the 1st of January 2010 the sell of the meat and milk goods of self production is prohibited, was adopted with the assistance of Party of Regions. M. Tomenko has emphasized that for today there are a great number of bills, suggested by the Cabinet of Ministers in particular that envisage the prolonging of the bill force entering for the 5 year more. "We have no time to wait the State Budget adoption in which besides the privileges for unprotected categories of citizen are envisaged", - M. Tomenko stressed.
The Vice-Chairman declared that "if nobody want compromises and agreements then there is no use in gathering of such quantity of people in the session hall as it presupposes considerable sum of money", - M. Tomenko has emphasized. "Everything that was going on during this week has once more proved that the Verkhovna Rada became a place for the pre-election agitation for one party", - M. Tomenko announced.
"Despite the fact that my motion is not supported by the Committee on Standing Orders I am convinced that recently we would come back to my resolution and at least during the president election campaign would stop torturing ourselves and people. We would stop spending the Budget funds in order to gather everybody here, hold long discussions during the Conciliation council and go away", - M. Tomenko.
